Brian P. McCall教授，美国密歇根大学安娜堡分校教育学院、福特公共政策学院教授，主要研究领域为教育经济学、项目评估和劳动经济学。目前的研究兴趣集中在学费补贴对大学入学的影响，家庭财富和经济资助对大学入学、毕业以及未来收入的影响等。其论文发表在Journal of Political Economy、Econometrica、Journal of Econometrics等顶级期刊上。曾担任Economics of Education Review的联合主编，现担任经济学、教育学等领域多家期刊的编委。

讲座简介：

This research uses geographical information on community college taxing district boundaries in the state of Texas and the fact that those boundaries change over time to identify the effect of tuition subsidies on college outcomes. Regression discontinuity, difference in differences and event study estimation methods in conjunction with both administrative data from Texas and data from the U.S. American Community Surveys for Texas are used to estimate the effect of changing tuition subsidies on outcomes such as the probability of attending college/university, the probability of graduating with either a two- or four- year degree, and labor market earnings in young adulthood.
